Behavioral Health Services


SCAP's Behavioral Health Services (BHS) provides accessible mental health support to low-income Schenectady County residents. Our goal is to improve overall well-being and stability for individuals and families in our community.


No medical insurance or payment is required. All ages are welcome. Must be an active SCAP customer to qualify. For more information or to access services, please contact your SCAP Case Manager.

Your Neighborhood Resource Center

We support the behavioral health of community members through treatment, customer and staff support, and consultation.

SCAP Behavioral Health Services will...

  • Provide Individual, Couples, Family, and Group Therapy to address emotional challenges and improve mental health.
  • Offer Trauma-Informed Care using a strength-based approach to address the root causes of emotional pain and suffering.
  • Collaborate with Community Providers to ensure comprehensive care and avoid duplication of services.
  • Offer Case Management Services to connect you with additional resources and support.
  • Provide Referrals to other community services when needed, such as medication management or psychological evaluations.
